Hand in hand
I walk and wait
My state
Of mind
Blank
Drowning (in my own fears)
Frowning (the lost years)
The birth
Of new life
Crowning
Rooms away
Reminders of a different day
Full of cries of life
Not anguish and strife
Tears pooling my eyes
I dare not blink
I want the tears to dry
For I fear if I cry
Let a single tear drop
My heart may just stop
Along with yours

The Hug
Bodies intertwined
Crossing the lines
Between yours and mine
A hug

Emotional Openness in Relationships
I thought I would do something a little different today….
Emotional Openness in Relationships with the Mrs.
*disclaimer, I am not a doctor nor trained to give any advice on any professional level in psychology, if you need real help please seek someone with the proper credentials to do so, this is my personal voice, opinion and experience that I am sharing*
Emotional Openness in Relationships
We must first understand ourselves and know what we truly want and need before we can expect another to learn how to do so with us.
Life affords us so many opportunities and chances to show the person that we love that they matter, that we need them. That they alone can fill a place of dependence and reliance that no other can fill. Continue reading
Guest Blogger: Haley Schluter
I want to introduce you all to Haley Schluter.
She is a vibrant, young, promising college student with a ‘voice’ that makes you feel like you are sitting across from her at a coffee shop having a chat. Her writing style is fun, comfortable, confident and she is a riot! Oh and did I mention she has curly hair? I’m a fan of curly hair. Watch for her and her curly hair, I’m sure you will be seeing more of her in the years to come!
Why Your Blog’s Voice Speaks Volumes
What is Art?
“…that you were not engaged with us because of your person; because of the parody of work that you display as “art” are a taint to that which is pure and true.” – anonymous
So I received this in an email yesterday from a fellow artist that is involved in ‘supporting’ fellow poets and artists through different methods of group interactions, writing prompts, competitions etc.
Might I also mention this someone has reblogged my work multiple times and has also left kind, supportive and encouraging mentions on many of my poetry posts. So when I read the above comment I was completely shocked.
After much thought I have decided to leave this person anonymous and coming to this conclusion was a big challenge for me. I take leadership, image, honesty and example very seriously. I realize it’s not about the person it’s the idea of what art is that really got me going. Continue reading
GrammoWriMo
As you probably know, hundreds of thousands of writers sign up for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) each year — essentially volunteering to write one 50,000-word novel from scratch in a month’s time. That’s a lot of writing for authors who may want to participate in NaNoWriMo, but are running short on free time. (Like ME)
Have you all heard about the Grammarly Group writing project coming up this November?
If not take a look.
They plan to organize the largest group of authors to ever collaborate on a novel; they’re calling the project #GammoWriMo.
For more information on this unique and oh so creative opportunity please check out the link I provided below.
Happy writing to you all!
