Exclamation points, a childrens poem

I over use exclamation points!

It must be my passion trying to pour out of me.

I really don’t mean to yell.

I often feel like a young child, bouncing up and down trying so patiently to not interrupt. Big eyes looking up longingly, waiting for the right time, unsure when that is, all the while pulling and tugging at arms and pants to help hold back the words, until it erupts, interrupts.

It’s exciting to write and it’s exciting to be alive!

So I will over use my exclamation marks!

Live with passion.

Live the life that you were meant to live.

Be alive.

Pour over into the lives of those around you.

Cup of Water

Pitter, patter

Chitter, chatter

What’s the matter?

Father, father I need some water

Scitter, scatter

Teeter, totter

Daughter, daughter, here’s your water

“Dedicated to my husband, the Father of the Daughter that gave the cup of water, many a night!”

‘Soul y’ Me

Do not define me

Do not limit my possibilities

Do not tell me who I am

Who I will become

Or Where I am headed

Do not put limitations on what I can become,

What I can achieve,

What I can accomplish! Continue reading

Welcome to my blogging brain!

This happens to me nightly, never fails.

I always say I will get up and write the idea down when I’m inspired but I never actually do it…damn brain!

Wetted Diamond

‘I have a dream!’

Was the great American proclamation

Martin Luther King Jr. had eyes to see what was,

What would be

And what would become

So clear

Like a wetted diamond

Sparkling

Pristine

Cyber Eyes, a poem of gratitude

This journey has been so fulfilling for me.  I am so thankful to have found my ‘voice’ and even more so that you all want to hear it.  I was going to keep this post for tomorrow (It will be my one month blogging anniversary!)  But I don’t want to wait.

I noticed a comment on my blog today from heresnews  She mentioned that she would have her ‘cyber eyes’ on me and it sparked the passion for this poem.  Take a moment to check out her blog.  Please remember to take the time to write the things that you are thinking when you read peoples work.  It makes the world of difference to the person (myself included) to know that you have read what they wrote.

Thank you all for being such a great source of inspiration and encouragement to me. And…… the poem. Continue reading
