Mumbles and Grumbles

Mumbles and Grumbles

Get over your grumbles

Your quiet voiced mumbles

Life is too short

So hit abort

On your onboard

Autopilot

And fly it

Life is too short

Your quiet voiced mumbles

Get over your grumbles

Life is too short to hold onto grudges.
So many people walk around mumbling and grumbling beneath their breath.  Often looking for bad and negative situations to occur around them so they can grumble some more.
It saddens me to see people often choosing to hold onto their frustrations.
We tend to live life on autopilot….Image……We have adjusted our settings and set off on that course but often things change in our life and we forget to readjust the settings on the autopilot.  But it’s important to.  Readjusting ones self and ones perspectives is not always easy but the first step to a new perspective is taking charge trying to take hold of the wheel and attempt to fly manually!

Think of the clouds as your mumbles and grumbles.  We need to take control of the plane and fly high above them.
Life is too short to do it any other way.  Try to be more like….

Image…..it is a choice that you have to make each and every day.

Update: Community, ‘Storetry’, Twitter, Facebook & the Summer Solstice

Hey everybody.

I want to let everyone know that this upcoming week there will be no Storetry due to vacation time *YaY*  but it will return the following week July 2nd so keep an eye out for it.  Thank you to everyone that has participated so far.  I really love reading all of the submissions and piecing it all together.  It is a definite highlight of my week.  I am looking forward to publishing the ebook!

My Twitter account reached 500 followers today. Thank you all! I think it’s fantastic.  2 weeks ago it was at 230. I am really pleased to be connecting with you all and many others on different platforms.  We are pulling the community together and expanding it as well.

My FB page could use some love.  I’ve only recently started to give FB some attention.  I really like this platform because I can chat and communicate with you all easier.  I’ve gotten to know quite a few of you on a deeper level through FB.  So if you have a minute take a peek and give it a like….if it’s your cup of ‘Long Island Iced Tea’ 🙂

Today is the summer solstice.  Have a fantastic start to the summer and I hope that you enjoy the longest day of the year with family and friends.  If you are looking for a great drink to try tonight check out my newest post on my Mommy blog for a new tasty, fresh cocktail idea that my friend Seb came up with.

Late night Thought to Poetry: Partiality

Elated state of partiality

Intriguing pondering creations

Indifferent to the aquatic equation

Of molecular diversion

Perversions of dimensional aversions

It could have been me

but it’s not

The lessons I learned

I long forgot

We all have a shot at this life

No time to struggle or strife

But time to use the perspective lens

Examine those bothersome trends

Well wishes for distant friends

I take a little from there

And bring it with me here

To where I’m going to be

Life is about choices

Trying on our different voices Continue reading

Help: Approaching Publishers vs. ebook/self publishing

So here I am at a crossroads and with questions that I think you may be able to help me with.

My plan is to self publish my poetry book.  It will be an ebook compilation of my poetry.  Seems like a simple enough process and people have shown an interest so I am looking forward to the release of that with in the next month or 2.

Now in my previous post I revealed the 2 first pages of my book along with a poem synopsis on what you can expect to see from my novel.  Both can be found on my blog the poem is entitled The Vault of the Exalted and the first 2 pages were posted yesterday so you can check them out if you’d like. Here are the first 2 pages to my upcoming book The Exalted. I’d like your help with a read and a review!

Hi everyone.

I would really like your input on the first few pages of the book The Vault that I am writing.

I previously posted my poetry prelude to introduce the book in the poem The Vault of the Exalted

Please feel free to leave your comments below and if you would to give me a fuller review please email me at writingsofamrs@outlook.com.

I look forward to your feedback.  I’d really like to know if it is engaging, does it hold your interest and make you want to read more.

I will wear my thick skin so say what you need to say! Continue reading

By the Fire

Sitting by the fire

It pops and crackles

Snapping like a crispy cracker

Except louder

Each crackle

And pop makes my heart stop

Makes me want to burst into flames

A burning pain

Exclamation points, a childrens poem

I over use exclamation points!

It must be my passion trying to pour out of me.

I really don’t mean to yell.

I often feel like a young child, bouncing up and down trying so patiently to not interrupt. Big eyes looking up longingly, waiting for the right time, unsure when that is, all the while pulling and tugging at arms and pants to help hold back the words, until it erupts, interrupts.

It’s exciting to write and it’s exciting to be alive!

So I will over use my exclamation marks!

Live with passion.

Live the life that you were meant to live.

Be alive.

Pour over into the lives of those around you.

Cup of Water

Pitter, patter

Chitter, chatter

What’s the matter?

Father, father I need some water

Scitter, scatter

Teeter, totter

Daughter, daughter, here’s your water

“Dedicated to my husband, the Father of the Daughter that gave the cup of water, many a night!”
