8,000 Views in 24 days. 1,400 followers (820 Word Press followers). I want to Pay it Forward, Let’s collaborate!
“A life lived for others, is the only life worth living.” Albert Einstein
Let’s call it Pay Day (please note there will be no monetary pay, only a hip-hip hooray)<– there’s your poetry for the day.
I would like to extend a hand to collaborate with people.
Do you write poetry?
Let’s have a poetry battle. Or let’s write a duet. Or let’s go line to line. Or you give the idea, I write. Or I give the idea, you write. Any other ideas?
Do you write?
Let’s write a short story together? Have a dialogue exercise together? Parenting ideas? Do a product review together? Do a top ten list together? I can guest blog? You can guest blog? I can do a review of your book. (Keep it short please!) Have an idea? Let’s try it.
Do you sing, write songs?
Let’s write a song together? (I’m not singing sorry people but you can!)
Are you a photographer?
Provide a photo. I can write a poem, short story, Inspiration in reference to it. I can give you a topic to express through photography. Ideas?
Documentary? Videos?
Shared ideas? Poetry said to words? I give a topic you present it? You submit a video I review it?
Humanitarian?
Let’s share your ideas, views, Mission. Find a way to reach more people?
Do you have a new and cool product, recipe, tip that you want to put out there let’s find a way! Ideas?
Your work and your rights to previously created material and works will always remain yours, just as mine will remain mine.
Shared collaboration on new poetry, writings, musings, short stories, videos etc. will be shared and can be discussed before hand.
So what’s in it for you?
That’s for you to decide. The challenge, fun, exposure, sharing in my ‘traffic’ and followers and the different people that will have the opportunity to meet you and see what you have to ‘offer’ or what you want to share.
I will do a short interview that I will post about the person that I have collaborated with that week, along with the results of our collaboration and a link to your blog. (This is only for bloggers)
So what’s in it for me?
“I have a dream.” Martin Luther King Jr
I said in my About Me:
“I want to write. Not only about the things that come easily and naturally for me but I want to expand and broaden my areas of confidence when it comes to writing. I have never given it time or attention. I’m not sure how or about what or why but I feel pulled, drawn (that the universe is calling if you will), that it’s time to begin the journey. It is my hope and dream that I get fulfillment from this mecca of mine.
I want to learn and grow as a writer. I want to learn and grow as a listener. I want to learn to engage the reader, stir the reader and most of all connect with the reader.
I care about community, volunteerism, education, knowledge and enlightenment.”
In my first Blog I said:
“Hopefully together we can walk away from this journey enlightened and successful or in the very least, better acquainted.”
I don’t have much but what I do have I want to share.
“If you can’t feed a hundred people, then just feed one.” Mother Teresa
I mean what I say and I say what I mean.
“The only time you should look down at someone, is when you are helping them up.” Jesse Jackson
So Pay Day will happen on Thursdays.
I will let the person that I will be collaborating with know by the previous Thursday. So we will have one week. (note: if you do not have time the week that I select please let me know so we do not let people down)
I am currently in my first collaboration with Ray the musical poet. http://themusicalpoet.wordpress.com/
He is writing the music and will be singing to my poem Gravy Baby! https://writingsofamrs.wordpress.com/2013/04/21/gravy-baby/
I gave him all the freedom to create it however it spoke to him.
I can’t wait to see what he comes up with.
If this idea interests you and you would like to participate please email me at writingsofamrs@outlook.com with Collaboration in the subject line. Please share with me your vision, what you are about and what you would like to work on together. (and of course your blog address)
This is all possible because of you amazing people. My blog has taken off WAY faster then I could ever have anticipated, I feel like I am tripping on myself trying to keep up.
Thank you for all of your comments, likes, follows, kind words and support. The blogging community has been my favorite part of this journey so far!

There are a variety of things that I write upon- fitness, Philosophy, poetry, etc. What do you want to collaborate on?
Please check your home page.
Thank you for your interest in my pay it forward PAY DAY Thursdays.
Jennifer, I’d love to collaborate with you. Let’s write a poem together – alternating lines. What say you?
Please check your home page.
Thank you for your interest in my pay it forward PAY DAY Thursdays.
And lest I forget… congratulations on the amazing success of your blog. You are an inspiration to the blogging community. Bless you.
I read it “writings/o/farmrs” the first time. Do they farm in Canada? 😉
You figured the collaboration idea out. Good. I cant wait to see how it works. 😉
Bahahah Funny Jim. Of course we have farmers. Silly.
You will be my first poetry partner? Right?
Put your dukes up!
Jennifer
All you have to do is say the word and tell me what to do next 😉
I would love to collaborate with you. I am willing to go line-by-line on poetry or however you decide on any prose. Do let me know if you’re interested.
Please check your home page.
Thank you for your interest in my pay it forward PAY DAY Thursdays.
I’d love to play with you, I mean, collaborate. 🙂 My blog deals with some tough mental health issues and stories of abuse, but I also like to write fun, lighthearted, or inspirational poems. Your quotes gave me an idea of using quotes within a poem somehow, perhaps as the starting line and see what grows, or use many quotes within as a framework.
Please check your home page.
Thank you for your interest in my pay it forward PAY DAY Thursdays.
This sounds like fun. Count me in…I am in a short story kind of mood…or whatever you fancy…

I am impressed- you have embraced your alter ego.
It’s like Clark Kent taking off his glasses- it was you all along! But who will gain supremacy, Jekyll or Hyde? Writings of a Mrs or Writing Sofa Mrs? I shall follow your posts with a studious interest.
What you don’t want to write with me Andy?
I don’t know…I’ve never collaborated before, and I hampered by my technical ineptitude. I was presuming you are going to run up quite a long list.
But I’ve known you since the beginning! 😀 And guess what, here’s a secret, I’ve never collaborated through writing either! There’s a first time for everything. Let me know.
Cheers,
Jennifer
Okay you smooth talking woman you.
Count me in.
Would love to do this with you. I’m in India right now and we could have such fun over skype and email. I could give you a photograph and you could make up a short scenario about it. I’m involved in a charity here right now so we could do something around humanitarian work.
I’d LOVE to come up with a top 10 list. Would be great to brainstorm with you. Let me know when ever you’re ready! Good luck with the musical poet! I’ll stay tuned to see what comes out of it.
Please check your home page.
Thank you for your interest in my pay it forward PAY DAY Thursdays.
You’re sweet.
No, no you’re so sweet. 😀
Hey Jennifer! What an incredible idea so early on in your blog’s “life”. I would love to collaborate with you at some point down the road. Congratulations on the fantastic success early on. Much more to come in the future! I am certain of it 🙂
Tim,
Thank you for the encouraging words and your continued support.
Send me an email with what you’d like to collaborate about so I don’t do the same idea with someone else!
Cheers,
Jennifer
Thanks Jennifer!
You should have an email from me right now 🙂 Enjoy the rest of your day!
I’m a writer(wannabe) and I have cancer. Those are the two things I blog about. I love life and all the good, bad, and ugly that goes with it!
Please send me an email with your ideas to writingsofamrs@outlook.com.
Thank you.
I’ve never collaborated with another writer before, sounds interesting. I would like to give it a try.

I write songs…as well as being a mad foodie – here are lyrics from a song called Off the Page – inspired by mu=y daughter who was stuck for an idea for her English essay:
OFF THE PAGE
She sat there in her old peach dressing gown
She said, I’ve got no ideas, I’m getting’ down.
She chewed her pen she said,
I’ve got the block
And she pushed a strand of hair behind her ear
She said, I don’t know what I’m doing here
I’m gonna have to stop.
She chewed her pen, I said,
For him it was a bridge too far
But if you take my hand I won’t be scared.
And Hannah held his hand
And the words they flowed like tears.
He said, You know I’ve felt this way for years and years
Locked inside your head
I am a story that you’ve never read.
And Hannah smiled – the moon came out.
And all across the ink black sky
She wrote his song.
She said,
I’ll write you into life
I’ll write your story be your wife
If you come off the page for me
I’ll write your name in every diary.
And she wrote………and she wrote……and she grew……and she grew.
She said,
All of these lines are for you…………….just for you.……..just for you.
As I left she was singin’
In a world of her own
And the pages were turnin’
My road towards home.
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing that with us.

I don’t have time in my life for any extra projects now, but I wanted to say that I LOVE this idea. I can’t wait to see what manifests through this!
Thank you so much.
Let me know if you have any time in the future
I would love to do this. Writing or poetry or photography or music. Very cool idea, I would love to do something similar to this on my blog sometime down the road when I have developed an audience.
Hi Jennifer,
Thanks for popping by and visiting my blog. Indeed, I would really like to collaborate with you and I think your PayDay concept is fantastic — I recently published a book that you could write a book review for (it is a short academic book running about 125 pages or so). If you want the e-book version you can get it from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Through-Detox-Prism-Exploring-Organizational/dp/1927465060/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1366837057&sr=8-1&keywords=detox+prism) however I would be pleased to mail you a hard copy if you provide me a mailing address — who doesn’t like to get a new book in the mail? You can email me at tragan@cviewstrategies.com with a mailing address. Looking forward to collaborating, Jennifer.
Congrats and what an awesome idea.
Thank you.
I’d like to participate by providing a photo that you could write a poem about.
Thanks for the challenge, Jennifer…. your poem found its way to music magically for me yesterday afternoon. It is not my typical “ballad” type song, so I really had fun with it. Can’t wait for you to share it with your readers here…
Ray…(The Musical Poet)
“Don’t whistle for the wind, unless you want the wind to blow!”
good luck 🙂
Thank you!
Tune in!
I love this idea. Photography is my passion. Would you like to write something inspired by one of my photographs, and could reciprocate?
Mike I left you a message on your blog.
Please contact me at writingsofamrs@outlook.com
Thanks Jennifer
I didn’t know figures like that were remotely possible.
Neither did I.
Cheers.
Impressive stuff. Keep it up.
Thank you.
Jennifer
You are an inspiration. How wonderful it is of you to share your success with others. I am not new to writing or blogging but I am new to WordPress and would love to expand my readership on this site. I have done poetry collabs before and have always had a great time with them. I would love to collaborate with you.
My email is authorsylvia@gmail.com or we can communicate here.
Can’t wait to read all the writings that come of this.
Great idea!
Hi Jennifer — thanks for visiting my page — I’m glad you enjoyed dAdDy? — strangely enough, a collaboration between myself and a friend.
I wish you the best in your writing career.
Thanks Ken.
Cheers,
Jennifer
Hey! I think it would be great to do a Collaboration. I was thinking maybe we could come up with some story idea and write it from the perspectives of two different characters, or do the same thing with a poem? My blog is scribbledshadows.wordpress.com if you’d like samples of my writing! I definetely look forward to working with you if I’m selected :3

How fun! It reminds me of college days! (I’m an English Major). I’ve piddled in poetry, prose and well, just about every other type of writing one could image! Count me in!
Hi Mel,
Please email me atwritingsofamrs@outlook.com to discuss things in more detail.
Thank you,

HA-HA-HA! When I sent it before it included the “at” word in front of your address! Sent again 🙂

Please send me an email at writingsofamrs@outlook.com
Thanks for your interest.
Jennifer
Hello! I would love to collaborate; I take photos (in an amateur fashion) and write poetry, songs and attempt to write stories (all of which usually contain copious semi-colons). Let me know if you fancy collaborating! Will try to find some examples of my work online 🙂
Hi there,
Please email me at writingsofamrs@outlook.com
Thanks for your interest in Pay Day Thursdays,
Jennifer
I would love to do something with you 🙂
I don’t consider myself much of a writer, but I do lots of recipes, and share my life running 3 small home businesses juggling two kids and a husband. There are pa-RANTs, how tos, unanswered questions… And lots of food. Maybe we can workout something different than the others. Also a hobbyist photographer so maybe we can do something with that too.
Sounds great.
Please email at writingsofamrs@outlook.com
Thanks,
Jennifer
Hi Jennifer, I’ve read it now! Hope you got my reply to your message? Fabulous idea and very selfless – I think I need to move to Canada and become your neighbour! It’s definitely a brilliant idea and I would love to do something similar, when and if I ever get to your sort of figures! Talk soon….:-)
Yes. I got your message. June 7th it is!
Great, thanks. Look forward to it. 🙂
Me too. First I need the book to read, that’s a good starting point..lol
Yes, that would help! I’ll drop you an email. 🙂
What a great idea! Creative short stories are my passion. I have a little baby boy & have wanted to explore the life if the little piggy that stayed home. 🙂
MommyLaughs.com
Sounds like it could be fun and endearing. Please send me an email at writingsofamrs@outlook.com
Thanks,
Jennifer
Love the idea! If you give me a topic/theme ill do my best to capture it in photos. I’m no expert, not even an amateur but ill give it my best go!!
Please send me an email at writingsofamrs@outlook.com
Please add collaboration in the subject line.
Thanks so much,
Jennifer
If you’re up for it–I’d like to give you an idea, and you me–and then each write whatevs that inspires (I am imagining poetry, but nothing is off the table) Let me know! What about a historical reference / event as a starting point…but super open to suggestion, and prefer it! 🙂
Cool idea! I like how free you are with parameters.
Hey Charron,
You have my email send me one with your ideas and we will go from there.
I sent you an email the other day asking you some questions,
Jennifer
How about a best/worst mommy or marriage moment of the week? I would love for both of us to write one and post them on both blogs. You are amazing! Great job building up such a following in such a short time.
Hi there,
Please send me an email with your ideas and we will go from there.
And thank you for your kind words,
Jennifer
Congratulations!!! You have a great blog so it doesn’t surprise me at all 🙂 your collaboration idea is wonderful and I’m sure it will be an amazing experience for everyone involved!!! I’m too shy as a writer to participate but I look forward to reading those who do join you 🙂
Thank you Kira for your kind words.
If you change your mind let me know.
Take care,
Jennifer
Well it would be pretty fun to see a poem or story written about a photo of mine. But maybe you’d write something better if it was you that chose the image. Maybe one of my blog posts have one that catches your fancy? Of course if you prefer I’ll pick one, say if you picked a category or theme then I chose a pic? Anyway, if it sounds good fine; if you already have enough by now (I see you have tons of responses here!), that’s fine too.
Hi,
I like the idea, I will take a look at your photos. Send me an email please and we can go from there.
Cheers,
Jennifer
Adore this idea and would love to jump on the bandwagon in a poetic way
Hi Lex,
Please email an we can go from there.
Thanks for your interest.
Cheers,
Jennifer
Interesting Idea – do you want me to suggest images that might inspire poetry, or do you prefer to poke around? If it’s the latter, you have my permission to link images from my blog http://www.nerdlypainter.com
I’d suggest looking at the “Tree of Life” or “Reinvented landscapes” series for ideas. unless you really like Physics, in which case pretty much anywhere should work.
Hi there,
Please send me an email with your ideas and we will go from there. I do not want to repeat the same types of ideas too often but I plan to do this every Thursday for …. well….as long as people want to read it!
Cheers,
Jennifer
Wow what an awesome idea! I’m always looking for someone to collaborate with and so far no one wants to play! I tried to get something going on Twitter called #epicconvo where authors/writers have epic conversations with each other like dialogue! But no go…I also would love co-writing other things like poems or short stories or have someone review my novel. Looks like I’m pretty late to the game as you’ve had lots of takers! Very cool idea. 🙂
Hi Victoria, send me an email and we will go from there.
Thanks for your interest!
Jennifer
What an amazing and generous idea! And a great way of linking people and their skills!
I would have no idea how to link what I do though
Ma I ask a quick question though. when you say you have x number of followers but not all of them are on wordpress, how are you finding out and keeping track of where those other followers are following you? I hope that makes sense!
Thanks
Hannah xxx
Hi Hannah!
You can link your Facebook and your Twitter accounts to your blog so they list as followers, I don’t tend to think they ‘count’ as much because you never know who is really reading your blog or not…but then again the same could be true of Word Press followers…but that’s just my view.
It’s all broken down in your dash board (you know where you see the bars/graphs that show views, visitors etc) on the bottom of that screen to the left is a listing. You may not notice it separated if your don’t have your social networks added. But this is with a word press blog site…
I hope that helps, if you have anymore question feel free to email me and I will help the best that I can.
Jennifer
Ahhhh, I understand now. I haven’t linked my other social media sites to my blog and haven’t really been counting them. I include bloglovin when I count my followers and I used to count google reader but not that is closing down I don’t.
thanks for the help, and good luck with your continued success 😀
Hi,
I have to give you a big thanks because you popped my wordpress cherry and were the first like on my new blog. So how about we collaborate. You write a poem and I will illustrate it? Let me know what you think. You can link to my fb page and see some of my work posted.
Nelson
Hi Nelson,
I love checking out and encouraging new bloggers, it was me not too long ago, 27 days now.
I love this idea, I’ve been looking for more artists.
Can you please email me at writingsofamrs@outlook.com
Thanks,
Jennifer
