DO SOMETHING!

Image
I have been spending a lot of time doing things worthy of writing about lately, or at least I hope they are worth reading!
One thing I’ve learned about writing and most especially writing poetry, is that you need to take time and some times extended time to immerse yourself in life, love and laughter to continue to be inspired to write!
I am happy to share that I have been feeling the desire to write resurfacing, so here’s hoping for some soon to be new inspired words.
What have you been immersed in lately?
Cheers!

I agree, the more I can find myself in tune with my surroundings the easier it becomes to connect with my world through writing – it opens doors to help process, but also the benefit is some rather delightful outcomes. I think as well, though with anything you want to hone, you have to be disciplined, and keep yourself in routine of creating the words. Keep going … πŸ™‚

Hi! I completely agree with you. You can’t sit around the house and expect the muse to come a’knocking. You have to get out there and experience life. Meet new people, try new flavors, take calculated risks and have fun. If you’re boring your writing will be too.

    reading helps to write
    and writing leads to read
we get inspired and we work instead πŸ™‚
then we return to books or newspapers in hall
we skim through magazines showcasing fashion for fall
everything has an influence, including the weather too
if it is raining outside, are you feeling blue
or within your heart a love bird is singing a new tune
    it has meanings..something like I do πŸ™‚

I have been deeply immersed in finding good things to write about. When that didn’t work I started to just live my life, and sometimes some writing came along. I am currently seriously contemplating regularly on the subject of seriousness and being serious. So far the results are inconclusive..

i seem to be spending most of my time editing final drafts of novels & short stories so i can publish them as eBoooks. also trying to learn a little about blogging and marketing (bad/lazy at this). and reading indie eBooks. and letting my mind wander over and around ideas for the next novel. πŸ™‚

but you’re right – a life seems required to be able to write about others. πŸ™‚

I think that’s a great point that we forget about sometimes! Wherever we are and whatever we’re doing we should be present and live and feel. Inspiration will follow. I love to read. I can say it inspires me to want to write, sort of like how listening to awesome singing makes me want to sing. lol But inspiration for content generally comes when I’m caught up in an interesting conversation.

The muse is alive and well, the storehouse of stories is bubbling away, the writer is busy taking photos. πŸ™‚

I’ve been immersed, sometimes bobbing (but never drowning), in my photography. πŸ™‚

I like the structure and theme of your blog. Many of the posts can functionally be writing prompts in addition to being inspirational. And each post is concise — I very much appreciate that. Myself, I’m learning how words can weave images into a narrative. These posts I’ve been reading through are great advice to that end. Thank you. πŸ™‚
