Death and Flies

Get published! All submissions included! This weeks Storetry Tuesday for poets and writers!

Just a reminder to those that are interested or those who would like to join for the first time please submit your contributions to this weeks ‘storetry’ to writingsofamrs@outlook.com.  In the subject line please include Stuff it Poem or Stuff it Paragraph.  All submissions will be included along with being published in a free e book that I will be writing with your contribution, name and blog address included in the same format as the ‘storetry’ is displayed on my blog. Please submit by Monday June 17th by 6pm Eastern Time.

This is a personal challenge and collaboration idea.  You may participate as often as you like but only one submission per week.  Please keep submission PG rated.  Be sure that your contribution stays true to your style of writing to showcase yourself and lead people to your blog and that it can flow between other peoples submissions as well which will be part of the challenge for you.  Your part is to fill the middle of the story that I have started and finished with either one paragraph of roughly 5 sentences or 1 poetry verse of 5 lines.  My challenge then becomes attempting to make it all flow as I will use and combine all of the submissions to create a ‘storetry’, part story, part poem.

For more information take a look at the Tab on my Home page.  There you will find the break down and previous ‘Storetries’ This will be the 7th installment. I will only be doing 10! So please participate!

For this weeks entry read on! Continue reading

Young Love, Mon Amour

Do you remember your young love?

The love’s of your youth or the young love of your current relationship?

I remember so clearly how magical it was falling in love with my Mr. and how wonderful it still is.

This poem is in honor of love most especially young love.

young, love, couple, happy

The Mr. (Alex) and I a few years back

Young Love, Mon Amour

A la prochain Mon amour

When we meet again

It will be under the willow tree

Offering a little more of you

A little more of me

Young love, Mon amour

Mon Cheri

You and me

And the willow tree Continue reading

‘Storetry’ #5 Part Story/Part Poetry. Collaboration/Challenge for poets and writers, join us and get published!!

I would like to thank everyone for their submissions and great pieces of writing both prose and poem and the wonderful photographs submitted!

I ask people to submit  a paragraph or a poem verse to fit into an opening paragraph and closing poetry verse that I supply.  I ask for people to contribute the ‘stuffing’ of the story, the middle with a short paragraph OR a poetry verse.  I then take all of the submission both prose and poem and try to add it all into the middle to make up at Storetry (part story part poetry) that flows nicely into a ‘Storetry’ (part story ‘stor’ and part poetry ‘etry’) I use all submission that are supplied to me as long as they pertain to the weeks opening and closing.  I will be publishing a free eBook that will include all of the ‘Storetry’s’ along with everyone’s submissions and blog addresses.  So by participating you will become ‘published’!  You can find next weeks ‘Storetry’ info posted on my home page in the Stuff It Collaboration for Everyone Tab by tomorrow morning.

To help with reading, I have included each persons blog address below their submission, you can click on the link to check out more of their work if it interests you.

The Carnival

The place was crowded with people.  The smell of hot buttery popcorn enticed my nose.  The sounds of people and couples laughing and enjoying the hot summer evening danced on the air.  Flashing lights and rides whipping by the night skyline flashed before my eyes.  It was the night of the Summer Solstice Carnival, my favorite night of the year. The Map

You wanted my heart

You took it for a ride

Across the country side

You said you would take me places that I’d never been before

And you did

Places that I didn’t want to go

You showed me sites that were precious to you

They made no sense to me

You whispered to me to come closer so that I could see what you were pointing at

No matter how hard I tried to see it, I couldn’t

I didn’t see the beauty in the things you found fanciful

I didn’t stand in awe at the things that took your breath away Continue reading

Wetted Diamond

‘I have a dream!’

Was the great American proclamation

Martin Luther King Jr. had eyes to see what was,

What would be

And what would become

So clear

Like a wetted diamond

Sparkling

Pristine
