Past, Present and Future Reside, a poem.

Make your passion move you into action!

Jennifer David Writings of a Mrs's avatarWritings of a Mrs

How do you feel when you see things that don’t sit well with you?

Do you go and talk to you friends and say what a shame things are?

When you see or hear about an injustice being done to a fellow human being do you sit and take a moment to think about how that makes you feel?  Do you let it stir and simmer?  Do you use that passion to move you forward and take action?

Are you aware of yourself and the passion that burns inside you?  Do you make a difference in the lives of those around you?  Do you give back to community?  Do you volunteer?  Do you make a difference?

If not……

Exposed

As I lay in the sun

With it’s rays on my back

It penetrates my soul,

Enlightens

My enlightenment

Shimmering

Aglow

My spirit and my words

Combine to flow.

Update: Community, ‘Storetry’, Twitter, Facebook & the Summer Solstice

Hey everybody.

I want to let everyone know that this upcoming week there will be no Storetry due to vacation time *YaY*  but it will return the following week July 2nd so keep an eye out for it.  Thank you to everyone that has participated so far.  I really love reading all of the submissions and piecing it all together.  It is a definite highlight of my week.  I am looking forward to publishing the ebook!

My Twitter account reached 500 followers today. Thank you all! I think it’s fantastic.  2 weeks ago it was at 230. I am really pleased to be connecting with you all and many others on different platforms.  We are pulling the community together and expanding it as well.

My FB page could use some love.  I’ve only recently started to give FB some attention.  I really like this platform because I can chat and communicate with you all easier.  I’ve gotten to know quite a few of you on a deeper level through FB.  So if you have a minute take a peek and give it a like….if it’s your cup of ‘Long Island Iced Tea’ 🙂

Today is the summer solstice.  Have a fantastic start to the summer and I hope that you enjoy the longest day of the year with family and friends.  If you are looking for a great drink to try tonight check out my newest post on my Mommy blog for a new tasty, fresh cocktail idea that my friend Seb came up with.

Elated state of partiality

Intriguing pondering creations

To all that makes me complete

From the top of my limits

To my grounded feet

To the unwaivering knowledge

Of the most certainty

A love that will span all of infinity

I will be yours

To the depths of my soul

Your love makes me whole

So deeply

So sweetly

Gardening..a little *ranting* goes a long way

And me complaining over on my Mommy Blog…

2026 Update: Written 2013 during a season of loud houses, busy weekends, and endless to-do lists. I hated gardening then. I really did. I see it differently now — but this moment still makes me smile.

I had coffee and cookies for breakfast.

You know why because I wanted to!

The house was finally empty after a busy, loud house full this weekend.

The Mr. and I got the dreaded yard work done.

Mowing, trimming, sweeping, tidying the barrage of toys and sports equipment etc left around from the children, balls and pool noodles on the trampoline…

and gardening, Uggg.

I hate gardening!

Yes, I know it’s a strong word, that’s what I tell my children when they use it, don’t use the word hate unless you really mean it, well I DO!

I have no idea how people think gardening is ‘relaxing or leisurely!’
