Today is Earth Day.  Be kind to our earth.  It’s the only one that we have.

Feet Upon It

 

Water flowing,

Plants growing,

Life showing

 Dust and mist

Hovers just above

As slight as a dove

 Boulders and rocks

Mountains

Towering high

Like the flocks in the sky

 Humidity in the air

Space to share

 Wetlands,

Woods

                                                                                           Desserts

                                                                                              Reefs

 Lush and sand

 Light and dark

 This planet

Treats us so well

Lessons to learn

In giving

In nourishing

 

Our planet,

 With your feet upon it

 

Be gentle with your hand

On the country

That your feet stand
