A Series of Poems on The Senses: The Poetry of Sound

Image

The poetry of sound

Lingers all around

The wind in my ears

The crashing waves

The faint cry of a seagull

The distant hum of a motor boat

The many mumbled languages spoken around me

French, English, Chinese

The bell from the harbor

The squeaky squeal of a wobbly stroller passing by

The wind whistling through the leaves

Should somehow be deafening in it’s entirety

Yet it soothes my soul

Senses intensified
