Pondering
Salty cheese and a glass of wine
A different time
a different era
Where voluptuous curves were what artists wrote about
What the most glorious painters painted about
The round about curtsey of a respectable girl
who’s hair all acurl
Made even the most proper woman’s brow curl
A time of allure
Where femininity could endure
a lifetime of salty cheese and a glass of wine.

Guess what I want now – cheese and wine…
Heck ya! Me too!
LOL
A time with a different flavor, the taste does linger.
Indeed!
A simpler time. 🙂
Beautiful. (And I definitely want cheese and wine now, too…)
Indeed
This poem makes me think of those Skinny Girl alcohol commercials–I think women should boycott that stuff–the marketers out there try to ruin everything for women. We can’t even have a decent, regular cocktail now–we have to have a “skinny” one. Geez. Anyway…just ranting on related issues. Thanks!
Beautifully written. I love it. 🙂
Thank you.

I wrote this in the evening during quiet time while I was at the cottage with the children and no husband for the week….and I was sipping on wine and eating salty cheese! 😀
