About me

I seem to have this ability to express myself through writing and I rather enjoy it.  I learned from a very young age that if I were to write about how I was feeling or thinking it would be well received, often more so than any attempts at verbalizing the same thoughts.

I want to write. Not only about the things that come easily and naturally for me but I want to expand and broaden my areas of confidence when it comes to writing.  I have never given it time or attention.  I’m not sure how or about what or why but I feel pulled, drawn, that the universe is calling, that it’s time to begin the journey.  It is my hope and dream that I get fulfillment from this mecca of mine.

I want to learn and grow as a writer.  I want to learn and grow as a listener.  I want to learn to engage the reader, stir the reader and most of all connect with the reader.

I would rather save the details of the ‘about’ to my writing.  Let it unravel, to let  you experience and get to know me through revelations in my writing.  I want our relationship to be unique.  Have your idea of who I am and what I am about blossom from with in you.

All that being said to help you know about me, I am first generation born Canadian (family from England) I am in my 40’s, I was married when I started this blog however now divorced and engaged with a new partner, I have children and grandchildren. I have raised 8 children both my own and adopted. I am currently a slow travelling digital nomad wandering, pondering and recollecting as I go.

I care about community, volunteerism, education, travel, culture, knowledge and enlightenment.  I have a big fascination with the Universe, space, time and all of the sciences.

It is important to me that people learn and understand that they are special and unique.  That they have a destiny and a purpose during their time here on this beautiful planet.

I share my life, my story, my adventures and teachings in hopes to help inspire others to do the same.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to bother with my Blog.

Well said, Jennifer. It is more of an internet blogging world now, where a lot of times we have to express our thoughts through sites like Word Press. Also, thank you for liking my social media proposal post!

As a long time writer and severe editor, I am daring to give you my professional advice about one little phrase in your writing: “if you will.” I cringe whenever I hear or see it. What after all does it mean? In writing it is mere clutter, and good writers cut clutter, we want to pare our words to the bone. Whenever someone says “if you will,” I mutter, “No! I won’t!”
I mean this to be helpful not judgmental, but it’s up to you to heed my advice or not. Good luck with your writing.

Hi and thanks for the like(s). It is an honor to translate German poetry and literature. It is so fun to see that people one hundred years ago lived and loved and felt, just as we do today, perhaps even more deeply! Mia Holm was well known but not translated as far as I know. She was probably about sixty years old when she wrote the poems in “Verse”. It is also fun to see another writer having fun!

Hi, thank you for stopping at “pagesofgrace” and liking my post. I am very new at this blogging world, so I was very surprised to see your “like” and felt so encouraged by it. I really like your idea in “8,000 Views in 24 days. 1,400 followers (820 Word Press followers). I want to Pay it Forward, Let’s collaborate!” You are amazing. I’d loved to collaborate but probably will need a lot of time to come up with creative ideas. Perhaps one day… (I’m dreaming… dreaming…) 🙂 In the meantime, I’d love to be able to learn from you and how you started it all…. Any chance of mentoring me? 🙂
