About me

I seem to have this ability to express myself through writing and I rather enjoy it.  I learned from a very young age that if I were to write about how I was feeling or thinking it would be well received, often more so than any attempts at verbalizing the same thoughts.

I want to write. Not only about the things that come easily and naturally for me but I want to expand and broaden my areas of confidence when it comes to writing.  I have never given it time or attention.  I’m not sure how or about what or why but I feel pulled, drawn, that the universe is calling, that it’s time to begin the journey.  It is my hope and dream that I get fulfillment from this mecca of mine.

I want to learn and grow as a writer.  I want to learn and grow as a listener.  I want to learn to engage the reader, stir the reader and most of all connect with the reader.

I would rather save the details of the ‘about’ to my writing.  Let it unravel, to let  you experience and get to know me through revelations in my writing.  I want our relationship to be unique.  Have your idea of who I am and what I am about blossom from with in you.

All that being said to help you know about me, I am first generation born Canadian (family from England) I am in my 40’s, I was married when I started this blog however now divorced and engaged with a new partner, I have children and grandchildren. I have raised 8 children both my own and adopted. I am currently a slow travelling digital nomad wandering, pondering and recollecting as I go.

I care about community, volunteerism, education, travel, culture, knowledge and enlightenment.  I have a big fascination with the Universe, space, time and all of the sciences.

It is important to me that people learn and understand that they are special and unique.  That they have a destiny and a purpose during their time here on this beautiful planet.

I share my life, my story, my adventures and teachings in hopes to help inspire others to do the same.

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to bother with my Blog.

420 comments?! What would your children think of you! I’ll save them the humiliation and leave you this post 🙂

And I hope your writing journey finds a fruitful, rewarding direction — if it has not already!

        Jennifer,
On our way to Zambia , we had a 9 hour layover at Heathrow so we spent the day in Eynsford, Kent with friends who are wheat farmers there. Hoping to go back when the lavender fields are in bloom and/or the wheat and hops are ready to harvest. It was still beautiful in late March and I felt an affinity to it 😉

Of course you’re a wonderful writer, but I just wanted to say how pretty you are too. My brother-in-law just got married and you remind me of one of my new nieces 🙂

I really like your blog – it’s so creative and pleasant. I love the “Stuff It” idea. I will definitely participate. Perhaps I should create a new blog specifically for family friendly content.

I feel the same. I hope you are finding it a beautiful experience. They say that it is in your 30’s that a writer actually starts experiencing that raging force that propels them forward. I am starting to feel it myself. I wish the best of luck to you.

Can relate to the writing side of you. Read about your recent love for poetry. You may want to glance at mine. It’s the story of the awakening of a spent nation, written entirely in verse. I post 3 sonnets every day. Value your views.

Dear Jennifer, Belated thank you for liking my poem/post “Holy Mother.” Isn’t it exciting to be here on WordPress. I’m so happy you’ve found such a rich and vast well from which to draw inspiration and recognition. Perhaps that’s why WordPress is so wonderful: we get to meet and relate to people from all types of backgrounds. Anyway, my apologies for lateness, because I am truly honored by people with great talent and amazing hearts who tell me I belong. Blessings to you and your family!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and liking my post! It’s an honor to be “liked” by someone with your talent. I feel like your “about me” page could just as well be mine (except for the Canadian part!), as it perfectly describes a lot of my goals and thoughts about writing!
