Suppressed
Suppressed
She drifted there
Buoyantly alone
The water gently caressing the known
Carrying her down the suppressed river
Recollections of her life made her shiver
She arose from her reverie,
Her backside wet from dismay
Her river of tears on display Continue reading
Abandoned
The air was frigid
Pungent with must
×
Lusty ruts
×
Odors of mold
Dingy confessions
Abandoned and untold
From her bleeding lips
Her wobbly hips
One good thing about being close to 40….
Truth
The 1 thing that writers/bloggers need to know before they begin.
While I have loved my journey of blogging and writing so far, the one aspect of it that I wasn’t prepared for was how socially isolating it is! It can be weighty for your average social butterfly like me.
I love social media and corresponding and working with fellow artists through my blog. I email with so many people, Skype chat, we comment on each others blogs, Tweet and facebook and I have developed a great fondness for many of my readers and people that I collaborate with but it can still feel ‘impersonal’. Emotional Openness in Relationships
I thought I would do something a little different today….
Emotional Openness in Relationships with the Mrs.
*disclaimer, I am not a doctor nor trained to give any advice on any professional level in psychology, if you need real help please seek someone with the proper credentials to do so, this is my personal voice, opinion and experience that I am sharing*
Emotional Openness in Relationships
We must first understand ourselves and know what we truly want and need before we can expect another to learn how to do so with us.
Life affords us so many opportunities and chances to show the person that we love that they matter, that we need them. That they alone can fill a place of dependence and reliance that no other can fill. Continue reading
Guest Blogger: Haley Schluter
I want to introduce you all to Haley Schluter.
She is a vibrant, young, promising college student with a ‘voice’ that makes you feel like you are sitting across from her at a coffee shop having a chat. Her writing style is fun, comfortable, confident and she is a riot! Oh and did I mention she has curly hair? I’m a fan of curly hair. Watch for her and her curly hair, I’m sure you will be seeing more of her in the years to come!
Why Your Blog’s Voice Speaks Volumes
Calling for Guest Bloggers
I am looking for a few guest bloggers.
The posts must be new pieces, never before posted/published.
The topics that I am interested in are as follows:
- Personal experience pieces on publishing, writing, etc. for example the ups and downs of being a writer/poet/author/blogger or writing tips, tricks of the trade, your writing routine, how to keep motivated, the muse… etc.
- A book review of my new poetry anthology The Vault First Floor. Keep it real, honest and creative.
https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/365167
- An important cause or mission to you that you want to bring awareness to.
If any of these topics interest you please email me your submission for review at writingsofamrs@outlook.com with Guest Blog in the subject line of your email. Please be sure to include all public domain, free to use images or consent on other images.
Oh so true!
E book Addition: A Duet, Write and Get Published with me
In light of my post The 1 thing that Writers and Bloggers need to know before they begin I decided that I would like to write a few duets, well, 3 to be exact.
I am looking for fellow writers and poets to do a duet with me that I will post on my blog and then add to my free ebook that I will be publishing in the upcoming months along with all of the past ‘Storetries’
The concept is a back and forth piece written together. One will be with a writer going back and forth between their paragraph prose and my poetic verse. Two will be a purely poetic duet. Continue reading
